In accordance with guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Education (SBOE Rule 160-4-9-.05), GLOBE can accept students for enrollment in 2nd-5th grades, and 7th and 8th grades who meet proficiency standards in Spanish, French, or Mandarin Chinese (simplified) through the STAMP language assessment.

Required Scores

Enrollment is open to all students for Kindergarten, 1st and 6th grades. Language proficiency is not required for admission in these grade levels.

Students interested in admission for 2nd and 3rd grade for the 2021-2022 school year must first take the STAMP 4SE assessment and meet language proficiency standards before applying. This ensures that your student has enough proficiency in the target language to be successful in our language immersion program. Below are the required scores for each grade level. Once Open Enrollment is closed, 2nd and 3rd grade applicants will be contacted directly should a space become available. The STAMP assessment can be taken to see if the applicant qualifies for enrollment.

Students who would like to be considered for 4th, 5th, 7th or 8th grades should enter the lottery during open enrollment. *Note, applicants for these grade levels should have prior experience in one of our target languages. GLOBE will contact you directly should a STAMP assessment need to be taken.

Middle school proficiency levels can qualify students for Language I/II, II, III, or IV. *Students who do not already have high school credit for I and II entering into Language III in 7th grade or IV in 8th grade may only receive high school credit for the courses completed at GLOBE.

After scores are received, eligible students can apply for admission. Eligible 2nd and 3rd grade applicants who complete the assessment on or before February 10 will be included in our lottery. This is highly recommended for students who also have siblings applying for the Kindergarten, 1st or 6th grade lotteries.
