GLOBE Wellness Policy
The GLOBE Academy recognizes the important role that schools play in the development of children’s lifelong health habits, their ability to learn, and their overall wellbeing. Schools can improve the health of students not only by educating them about the importance of healthy behaviors, but also by implementing policies and creating environments that facilitate those behaviors. Therefore, GLOBE establishes the following policy to promote the health and wellness of students and staff and to ensure its schools comply with those standards established by federal and state law. GLOBE Wellness Policy SY22.

School Meals

For the past three years, under the Child Nutrition COVID-19 Waivers, the government approved and issued waivers that allowed all students to eat school meals for free regardless of financial status. This funding has since expired, requiring families to either pay for meals or be determined eligible to receive free or reduced-price meal benefits.

All students may apply to receive free or reduced price meals at The GLOBE Academy by completing an online School Meals Application. Your child’s completed application could help our school receive potential funding for our programs, so we ask that all families complete a new application each school year.

Applying for meal benefits is fast, easy, and free. Now you can apply for free or reduced-price school meals the easy way online.

Save time and apply online!
