Students are welcome to bring in lunch from home or participate in the school’s lunch program. GLOBE Academy is participating in the National School Lunch Program.
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. Read more about the NSLP.
We are pleased to offer meals from Preferred Meals as our Food Service Management Company. Preferred Meals’ kitchens are nut-free and pork-free, and are inspected by onsite USDA staff, which assures safe food handling and accurate labeling practices. Meals will be warmed up in our kitchens on both campuses.
Students will order lunch in their homeroom class. Teachers will take a count of all the lunches needed for the day and provide the cafeteria with the requested number. If your student
reports to school late and is purchasing lunch for the day, please inform the front desk as you check-in.
Lunch payments can be submitted online at MyPaymentsPlus.com. Please visit the website to register and add
your student(s) to your account using their student ID number. This process is quick and easy to do. My Payments Plus gives you 24/7 access to add money and monitor meals received.
All meals will be charged through MyPaymentsPlus.
The cost is $4.00.
Free and Reduced Lunches (at a cost of $0.40 per lunch) are available for eligible children through the DeKalb County School District. You may apply for Free or Reduced Lunch online. Paper applications will be available in the front office, beginning mid-August.
A new application must be submitted each year. Recipients of free and reduced meals during the 2018-2019 school year retain their eligibility for the first few weeks of the new school year.
For more information, please visit the DeKalb County School
District School Nutrition Services.
