The Annual Fund campaign is GLOBE’s
biggest fundraiser
As a free public charter school, GLOBE does not charge tuition and it also receives no public funding through SPLOST that traditional public schools receive for capital projects and to
maintain facilities.
As a result, we rely on the generous support of community partners to help GLOBE to continue to provide exceptional learning experiences.
GLOBE and other DeKalb charter schools are enduring significant budget cuts. The Annual Fund helps close this funding gap most efficiently with 100% of Annual Fund contributions benefitting the school’s most basic operations. Separate from the Annual Fund, other fundraising events like the GLOBE Trot, GLOBE Rocks and/or Square One Art, are also important but require more resources to execute. These events are perfect for engaging a broader community like extended family, friends, and coworkers to donate and support your GLOBE student.
Overall, the Annual Fund continues to be the primary way to support our school by giving GLOBE the flexibility to use unrestricted funds to address our most pressing needs. The 2025-2026 Annual Fund goal is to raise $150,000 with 100% participation from GLOBE families.
Growing our Annual Fund each year allows us to thrive and achieve greater financial stability. The Annual Fund directly supports academic, extracurricular, and dual language immersion programming for students, equipment and software upgrades, facility improvements, strategic planning, as well as faculty salaries and professional development.
How much should I give? The suggested annual tax-deductible donation amount is $400/per student (about $2 per school day). You may also choose to spread this out as $34 monthly donations. That said, we ask that you give a donation that is meaningful to you. Don't forget, your employer may offer a matching gift program to increase your impact.
2025/26 Impact Report
We are excited to introduce The GLOBE Academy’s 2025–2026 Impact Report, a reflection of a remarkable year of growth, progress and community.
This report highlights the achievements, experiences and investments that helped shape the school year—from opening our new Lower Campus and advancing our strategic priorities to strengthening dual language immersion, supporting our educators, and deepening family engagement. Most importantly, it showcases the collective impact made possible through the dedication of our students, staff, families, volunteers, donors and community partners.
As you explore these pages, we hope you will see the many ways our community came together to support student success and advance GLOBE’s mission of developing globally minded citizens equipped to make a positive impact in the world.
Please note that donations made to GLOBE Trot, GLOBE Rocks and/or Square One Art go toward the total unrestricted fundraising goal of $300,000, but they are not included in the Annual Fund participation rate goal. Donors who give monthly gifts or receive matching gifts are recognized at the appropriate level based on the total amount received by the end of the school year (July to June).
