Transportation Ridership Program

GLOBE's Transportation Ridership Program provides morning and afternoon bus transportation between a satellite hub and the Lower and Upper GLOBE campuses. The hub is located at the Exchange Recreation Center : 2771 Columbia Dr, Decatur, GA 30034.

Please note: The bus for Lower Campus is currently at capacity, but you can still add your name to the waitlist.

Ridership Tiers

If a waitlist is necessary, each tier will hold its own waitlist.

1. Students receiving free or reduced lunch.
2. Students receiving sliding scale payment arrangement.
3. Full price paying students.

Cost

  • Students receiving free or reduced lunch will not be charged a ridership fee.
  • Sliding scale option is available for families that may not qualify for free or reduced lunch. Information is available here.
  • Full price ridership fee will be $75 per student per month.

Schedule

Morning:
6:30am–6:50am: Students board buses at hub
6:50am: Buses depart from hub
7:15am: Buses arrive at both campuses to drop off students

Students will join Before-Care (free of charge) upon arrival. Breakfast is available for purchase from 7:30am, or students may bring their own breakfast to eat once they are on campus. 

Afternoon bus from Lower Campus:
3:30pm: Bus departs Lower Campus
4:00pm: Bus arrives at Hub for parent pick-up

Lower campus students will be provided supervision and a snack, free of charge, between dismissal time (2:45pm) and departure time (3:30pm). 

Afternoon bus from Upper Campus:
3:45pm: Bus departs Upper Campus 
4:15pm: Bus arrives at Hub for parent pick-up

Late pick-up
If a student is not picked up at the hub location by 4:30pm they will be transported back to GLOBE and 
checked into the Extended Care Program. A late fee of $25 will apply.

Conditions and Commitment

1. Must commit to at least one full semester.
2. Payments will be processed in My Payments Plus, with the option for monthly payments or full payment in advance for each semester.
3. No refunds will be issued for missed days/trips.
4. Withdrawal of transportation ridership must be submitted in writing, at least 14 days in advance.
5. Important: You are responsible for getting your child(ren) to the hub location on time for morning pick-up, and for collecting your child(ren) at the hub location when the bus arrives in the afternoon.

GLOBE will contact you to confirm your seat(s) and to make payment arrangements, or to notify you that you are on a waitlist. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jen Parker, GLOBE's Director of Operations, by email.
