- By random lottery for students in the DeKalb County School District for kindergarten, 1st and 6th grades.
- Availability-based for 2nd through 5th grade for students who meet proficiency standards. For grade levels with a wait list, admission is by lottery.
Student Enrollment: Approximately 1,000 students
Grades: Kindergarten through 8th Grade
Class Size: Maximum 24, with a lead teacher and assistant in every K-3 Classroom, shared assistants 4-8 grades
Curriculum: Georgia Standards of Excellence, Georgia Frameworks
Instructional Approaches: Dual language immersion, Constructivism, Reading and Writing Workshop, Responsive Classroom
Languages Offered: Spanish, French, and Mandarin
Demographics: 46% White, 27% African American, 13% Hispanic, 5% Asian, 7% Multiracial, 20% Free/Reduced Lunch
Lunch Program: Participant in the National School Lunch Program. Free/Reduced Lunch available through DeKalb County School Cafe Program.
